Based on 4/5 days out of 7, including weekend work.

SALARY: 12.21 - 15.77 PAYSCALE

About the role:

Your role will be to maintain all outdoor areas of the hotel ensuring they are presented to the highest of standards all year round. If you have a passion for horticulture and enjoy working outside this could be the job for you!

The main duties include but are not limited to;

Ensuring the excellent presentation and cleanliness of all external grounds, gardens, spa and back-of-house areas. Ensuring that the grounds are free from all litter, all rubbish is disposed of correctly and that waste and bin areas are kept tidy in line with hygiene standards. Maintenance, upkeep and seasonal planting of grass areas, flower beds, hanging baskets, trees and shrubbery etc. Maintenance and upkeep of grounds equipment, machinery and materials. Support weather-related maintenance such as gritting and snow clearance during icy conditions. Working within the guidelines of health and safety operatives to ensure all staff and guests are safe at all times. Any other duties deemed necessary by the General Manager.

The Person:

Applicants must:

Must have previous grounds/horticulture/landscaping work experience. Have a full, clean driving license. Chainsaw license and CRS card desirable. Must have excellent attention to detail, initiative, and an ability to work independently. Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation and The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat brand. Have a flexible work approach and be available to work weekends. Have a positive and friendly attitude coupled with an enthusiastic approach to exceeding customer expectations.

Have at least 1-year of previous bar experience (desirable) Have a passion for the hospitality industry, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about bartending Previous experience within the hospitality industry and or a customer-facing role Be an excellent team player with a positive and friendly attitude Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work daytimes, evenings, and weekends Have strong communication skills and be able to multitask Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation and Galgorm Collection brand
