Grounds Person - Galgorm

REPORTING TO:

Estates Manager.

HOURS:

Full Time, 5 days out of 7 including weekends. Example shift patterns 7.30am/8am- 4pm/4.30pm

LOCATION:

Galgorm (Ballymena).

SALARY:

12.21 Per hour

About the role:

The resort is set within 163 acres of lush parkland with the spectacular River Maine flowing through the estate. We are well known for our extensive gardens & flower beds which create a perfect backdrop for special wedding day photographs. We are seeking a new Grounds Person to join our hard-working, dedicated team.

Your role will be to maintain all outdoor areas and ensure they are presented to the highest of standards all year round. If

you have a passion for horticulture and enjoy working outside this could be the job for you!

The main duties include but are not limited to;

Ensuring the excellent presentation and cleanliness of all grounds and back of house areas. Ensuring that the grounds are free from all litter, and all rubbish is disposed of correctly. Maintenance and upkeep of grass areas, as well as flower beds, etc. Work within the guidelines of health and safety operatives to ensure all staff and guests are safe at all times. Any other duties deemed necessary by the Estates Manager.

Applicants must:

Must have previous grounds/horticulture work experience. Have a positive and friendly attitude coupled with an enthusiastic approach to exceeding customer expectations. Must have excellent attention to detail. Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation and the Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort brand. Have a flexible work approach and be available to work weekends.
