Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This position involves a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, ensuring that gardens and grounds are kept in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

Perform general groundskeeping duties, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Dig, plant, and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees to enhance the landscape. Operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools effectively and safely. Build and repair fences, pathways, and other structures as needed. Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to ensure proper hydration of plants. Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify maintenance needs or issues. Assist in the installation of irrigation systems to optimise water usage. Maintain cleanliness of all outdoor areas, including removing litter and debris. Assisting with the indoor maintenance

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining equipment. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to grounds maintenance tasks. Experience in landscape maintenance with a keen eye for detail. Ability to dig, build, and irrigate effectively as part of garden upkeep. Good physical fitness to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while working on multiple tasks.

Pay: From 26,000.00 per year
