Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Groundwork Foreman
to oversee and coordinate site operations across a variety of groundwork and civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will manage a team of operatives, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily groundwork operations on site Read and interpret technical drawings and site plans Ensure health & safety regulations are followed at all times Liaise with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors Monitor progress and quality of work, reporting any issues Order materials and manage deliveries as needed Conduct toolbox talks and site briefings Motivate and lead site teams to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Groundwork Foreman or similar role Strong knowledge of groundwork, drainage, concreting, and foundations Ability to lead and manage teams effectively Excellent communication and organisational skills Valid CSCS card (Gold or Black preferred) SSSTS/SMSTS qualification desirable First Aid certification an advantage Full UK driving license
