Groundworker
Job Description
As a Groundworker at Granite Builders, you'll be at the heart of our construction operations--responsible for preparing, developing, and finishing sites to the highest standards. You'll be involved in everything from foundations and drainage to landscaping and finishing touches.
Key Responsibilities:
Site preparation, including clearing and setting up safety barriers.
Excavation for footings, foundations, drainage, and services.
Laying concrete foundations and reinforced steelwork.
Installation of drainage systems, ducting, and utility runs.
Constructing kerbs, pavements, driveways, and paths.
Operating levels and interpreting site plans and technical drawings.
Supporting structural works such as retaining walls and hard landscaping.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in groundworks or civil engineering.
Ability to read and follow site drawings and levels.
Confident using tools, plant, and machinery.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Knowledge of site health & safety protocols
