Job Description

I and J Bushell undertake a wide range of Groundworks, Excavation and Agricultural Contracting for a variety of clients ranging from domestic to commercial works.

We are looking for groundworkers to join our team and assist us with current projects which include small works, landscaping and environmental projects and all aspects of Groundworks ranging from to adoptable sewers/drainage to foundations and plot drainage on housing developments, commercial works and domestic jobs.

The right candidate will be self motivated, work well in a team as well as on their own, and always strive to complete works to the best of their ability.

The role would require the correct candidate to undertake the following:

- Dumper Driving

- Banksman Work

- Road and Driveway Construction Works

- Storm Water Drainage Works

- Foul Drainage Works

- Pipe Laying (Plastic, Clay, Concrete)

- Concreting

- Kerb Laying

- Finishing Works

- Reading Plans

- Using Laser Levels

Full time work available for the duration of the contract, subject to trial with further work available for the right candidate.

Experience/ Requirements:

CIS Registered. This is a self employed role.

Minimum 5 years Groundworks experience working on a variety of projects.

Must have own transport to travel to sites around Surrey.

Must be able to read and understand plans and drawings.

Must demonstrate good self motivation, communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team or individually.

CSCS/CPCS Card. Skilled operative

Dumper Experience/ Dumper Qualifications a big advantage but not essential.

Good organisation and good level of written and spoken and English.

Rate of pay dependent upon experience and qualifications
