Job Description

Bridgend County Care and Repair assists older people with disabilities to repair and adapt their homes.

We are currently seeking an experienced ground worker who will be responsible for constructing steps, ramps and paths galvanised steel handrails to existing paths, steps or new works. We will provide full training for installing the galvanised handrails if required.

You may also be required to undertake smaller to carry out smaller jobs such as fitting grab rails, highlight edges of steps, the fixing of waste pipes and eliminating trip hazards to paths and/or ramps. This list of works is not exclusive and can vary depending on demand and your level of experience.

You will have a good understanding of health and safety practices and possess the ability to empathise with the needs of older and vulnerable people and possess a strong commitment to customer care.

As you will be visiting clients in their own homes you will need to have a full clean driving licence and company vehicle will be provided. A DBS check will be carried out on the successful candidate. There will be a practical element to the interview process.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,126.00-29,561.00 per year
