Groundworker
Job Description
We are currently looking for Groundworker's who are experienced in steel fixing (mesh and rebar tying). Must have at least 3 years experience, worked on concrete slabs, walls, formwork and shutting skills is required. Underpinning and basement construction experience is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
Excavating and preparing ground for foundations
Underpinning
Cut, bend, and fix rebar and mesh to reinforce concrete structures
Install steel reinforcement in formwork before concrete is poured
Installation of formwork panels and shuttering
Pouring concrete - (ready mix by wheelbarrow and pump)
Installing drainage
Operating machinery (dumper / excavator) as required
Working within a small team
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience as a groundworker
Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings
Ability to read and interpret steel drawings
Operating machinery (dumper / excavator) as required
Strong work ethic
Ideally have their own transport
Have own tools and PPE
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 180.00-200.00 per day
Experience:
Ground works: 3 years (preferred)
Basement construction: 3 years (preferred)
