Job Title: Groundworker Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working as part of a groundworks gang, carrying out various construction projects, ensuring that the groundworks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Responsibilities:

- Perform manual labour tasks such as digging trenches, laying foundations, and installing drainage systems.

- Operate machinery and equipment including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers etc.

- Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Groundworker in the construction industry.

- Ability to operate mechanical plant competently.

- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools effectively.

- Knowledge of basic construction techniques and practices.

- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment.

- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.

Skills:

- Proficiency in operating construction machinery.

- Understanding of health and safety regulations.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

- Problem-solving abilities to overcome challenges on-site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to 25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Construction: 2 years (preferred) Civil engineering: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

CSCS (preferred) Driving Licence (preferred) CPCS Card (preferred)
