Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Groundworker to join our midlands based team. This role involves a wide range of groundwork duties on residential and commercial construction sites. You will be responsible for preparing and finishing ground surfaces, installing drainage and utilities, laying concrete, kerbs, and paving, and supporting formwork and reinstatement tasks.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical ability, good physical fitness, and a proven track record in groundworks. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience, be able to follow site drawings, and work safely and efficiently as part of a team or independently. Driving licence is essential.

You should be confident to carry out all aspects of groundwork including:

Excavation, concreting, drainage, kerbing, and paving. Install underground drainage systems, ducting, and utility pipework to required specifications. Prepare and lay foundations, sub-bases, and concrete slabs. Assist with formwork, shuttering, and steel fixing as required. Reinstatement of surfaces following groundworks. Read and interpret site drawings and instructions. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with site supervisors, colleagues, and any other trades on site.

Pay negotiable depending on experience, PAYE or CIS considered.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 17.00-25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Monday to Friday Weekend availability
