Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The Groundworker will play a crucial role in various construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that all groundwork is executed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain construction sites by clearing debris and ensuring a clean working environment. Excavate trenches and foundations for building structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Operate hand tools and machinery safely, including compactors, diggers, and other equipment as required. Assist in the installation of drainage systems, pavements, and other groundwork elements. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks on time while adhering to safety regulations. Report any issues or hazards encountered on site to supervisors promptly.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery relevant to groundworks. Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in work output. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry is advantageous. Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
