Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various construction and landscaping projects. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

We are interested in individuals and gangs who may be interested in subcontract works or PAYE positions.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of construction sites, ensuring they are clean and safe for all workers. Carry out groundwork activities including digging trenches, laying foundations, and preparing surfaces for further construction work. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently as required. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment. Report any issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundwork or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong physical fitness and stamina, capable of lifting heavy materials as needed. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
