Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various construction and civil engineering projects. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of site activities, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities

Carry out groundwork duties including excavation, drainage, and laying foundations. Operate and maintain various tools and machinery safely and effectively. Assist in the installation of utilities such as water, gas, and electricity. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule. Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Report any issues or hazards to the site supervisor promptly.

Experience

Previous experience in groundwork or construction is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with operating construction equipment is advantageous. A valid CSCS card is desirable but not mandatory; we can assist with obtaining one if necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential. A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices is required.

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
