Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in various construction and landscaping projects, ensuring that all groundwork is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and laying foundations. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively, including compactors and excavators. Assist in the installation of drainage systems, paving, and other groundwork tasks as required. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly after use. Report any issues or hazards on site to supervisors promptly.

Skills

Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is advantageous but not essential. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in construction environments. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Good physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and supervisors effectively. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 17.58-22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 43 per week
