Job Description

Groundworker with some bricklaying skills needed to join GRS Northeast Team.

We are a Groundworks company based in Stanley, which is highly rated among house builders across the northeast.

We are offering a permanent position 39hrs per week

Job Role: Manhole Adoptions Engineer.

Training will be given with onboarding but will need to possess the skills requested below.

Working on commercial sites and local authorities which includes emergency work Using equipment and tools effectively to perform construction tasks Installing ladders and steps to existing manholes. Minor brickwork and concrete repairs to existing sewers and structures. General pointing and use of sika material Following site plans and reporting Daily. Small brickwork repairs and replace of broken lids Following all relevant health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
Requirements:

Good problem solving skills/ can do attitude. A good level of physical fitness to perform required tasks. Driving licence ( with no more than 6 points) A valid CSCS card Qualifications will be advantageous ( Face fit, Confined spaces, working at height.NVQ) these can be acquired for the right candidate. Able to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience within Groundworks is a requirement. Some bricklaying experience will be Needed for general repairs. Uses and maintenance of power tools Measure mark and cut construction materials
You will have to make your own way to our yard which is based in catchgate industrial estate

All staff meet at unit for 6:30 -6:50 am. Leave site at 3pm daily.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour
