Personal Profile

Highly skilled and reliable Groundworker with strong experience leading small teams of 2-3 operatives on a wide range of groundworks projects. Competent in excavation, grading, kerbing, edging, setting accurate levels and falls, and general civil works, ducting, trenching .

Demonstrates excellent awareness of health, safety, and road safety requirements, with the ability to work efficiently to programme while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Experienced in operating plant and machinery, with drainage and ironworks experience considered a strong advantage.

Key Skills & Competencies

Team leadership (2-3 operatives) Excavation & bulk earthworks Grading, levels & falls (laser and traditional methods) Kerbing, edging & paving preparation Ironworks installation Drainage (foul & surface water - desirable) Roadworks & highway environments Strong health & safety awareness (PPE, hi-vis, RAMS) Plant & machinery operation (dumpers, rollers, diggers) Ability to read drawings and set out works Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

Plant & Machinery Experience

Excavators / Diggers (various sizes) Dumpers & rollers Plate compactors & small plant Hand tools and laser levels

Health & Safety

Strong understanding of site safety requirements Confident working in hi-vis and roadwork environments Knowledge of traffic management and safe systems of work Tickets / certifications beneficial (CSCS, CPCS, NPORS, etc.)
