We are seeking a reliable and experienced Groundworker/Dumper Driver to join our construction and site operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating dump trucks and other heavy equipment, assisting with material moving, and supporting site logistics. This role requires a strong focus on safety, mechanical knowledge, and effective communication skills to ensure smooth daily operations on various construction sites. Prior experience in commercial driving, forklift operation, or heavy equipment handling is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
CSCS card is required for this position.
Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
Assist with site cleanup, debris removal, and material distribution to support construction activities.
Perform routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning.
Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations during vehicle operation.
Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules, site needs, and safety concerns.
Support yard management tasks including moving heavy equipment or materials as needed.
Maintain accurate logs of trips, loads, and vehicle maintenance reports.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
Proven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, delivery driving, or related roles involving heavy equipment operation.
Mechanical knowledge of trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse or construction machinery is preferred.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and heavy haul equipment safely.
Experience with freight hauling, route driving, or heavy equipment such as forklift, tanker trucks, or tow trucks is advantageous.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and site managers.
Physical ability to load/unload materials manually or using mechanical aids; capable of lifting heavy loads when necessary.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy vehicle operation and construction site protocols.
