We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in various construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Must have own tools, PPE and transport

Duties

Excavate and dig trenches for foundations, drainage systems, and other construction needs. Assist in the installation of underground utilities such as water, gas, and electricity ducting. Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring all materials are stored properly. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order. Follow all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in groundwork or related fields is necessary. Strong mechanical knowledge to operate machinery effectively. Ability to dig trenches manually as required. Excellent physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
