Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced

Groundworks Ganger

with a minimum of

10 years' experience

in groundworks and civils. This is a hands-on role, working on the tools daily, capable of running a gang or working independently as required.

The successful candidate must be confident working from drawings, able to take responsibility for setting out daily works, and deliver high-quality groundworks with minimal supervision. Experience on highways projects and tarmacing is essential.

This role suits a reliable, self-motivated ganger who takes pride in their work and can keep productivity and standards high on site.

Responsibilities

Kerb laying Drainage installation Ducting and services Foundations and externals Reading and working from construction drawings Running and motivating a gang when required Operating plant and machinery (including excavators) Carrying out works on highways and public realm projects Assisting with and carrying out tarmacing works Ensuring work is completed safely and to specification

Qualifications

Minimum

10 years' groundworks experience

SSSTS

(essential)

Street Works / NRSWA

(essential) CPCS or NPORS plant tickets (excavator, dumper, roller) Proven highways experience Ability to work alone or manage a small gang Strong knowledge of drainage, kerbing, ducting, and civils works Reliable, punctual, and professional

Pay: 24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
