Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to groundworks, including excavation, site preparation, and assisting with the installation of utilities. This role is essential in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Duties

Carry out excavation and groundwork tasks as directed by the site supervisor. Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other utilities. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all materials and equipment are stored properly. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks on site. Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals within set deadlines. Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.

Skills

Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is advantageous but not essential. Ability to operate basic construction machinery and tools safely. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Good physical fitness and stamina, as the role involves manual labour. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: 17.00-22.00 per hour
