Job Summary

We are seeking an ambitious individual experienced in Groundworks as a Working Foreman who has a strong committed work ethic and is keen to progress further. Thorough knowledge of general groundworks, up to DPC, ( not paving or finishing ) will be essential. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and carrying out daily operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, on time and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a diverse team, and a commitment to maintaining high standards whilst working under pressure on site. Projects are in London so must have the ability to get to NW3.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers on-site to ensure productivity and quality standards are met. Manage daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Assist in training new employees on procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to upper management promptly. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents that occur on-site. Liaise with the client and the Director on project progress and programme of works

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within groundworks construction Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Willing to work alongside other site staff, leading by example. Ability to work under pressure on site while maintaining high standards of quality.
