We're hiring a Group Accountant to join our Group Finance function based in Edinburgh. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career, at a global level, within a high-performing finance team in one of the world's leading fintech firms.
What you'll be doing:
You'll play a key part in our financial reporting processes while supporting the full breadth of the Group Finance team's responsibilities. This is a varied and dynamic role where you'll build your experience across month-end close, intercompany accounting, and financial analysis.
Day to day, you'll:Maintain accurate and complete general ledger records for Group entities
Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities
Reconcile and substantiate balance sheet accounts
Assist with monthly Board reporting, including variance and performance analysis
Monitor and review Group financial performance against budget
Contribute to consolidated financial statements and external audit deliverables
Calculate intercompany recharges, reconcile balances, and support compliance with transfer pricing policies
Liaise with Group Tax and other teams on intercompany transactions
Assist in enhancing controls and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies

What we're looking for:
This role is perfect for a newly qualified accountant or someone with equivalent experience ready to step into a dynamic, commercially focused finance role.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit
Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
Confidence managing your own workload and meeting deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
A proactive and analytical mindset with a drive for quality
Bonus points if you also have:A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW or equivalent) - or qualified by experience
Experience preparing statutory or management accounts
Working knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation
Experience with finance systems such as Nav, D365 or data tools like Qlik
