Job Description


Our client is looking for a Group Communications Advisor for a Permanent position, located in London (Hybrid Working)

Role

To provide internal and external communications work, supporting Group functions and departments

Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit materials in accordance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s style guide, including press releases/statements, articles for the intranet and internet and social media posts.
  • Produce videos, blogs, vlogs and podcasts and publish content on digital channels.
  • Help to manage the internal and external social media channels.
  • Ensure that information is kept updated on the company\xe2\x80\x99s website. Work closely with digital agencies on the website\xe2\x80\x99s design and content.
  • Edit internal communications presentations and materials.
  • Review presentations and speaking materials for external events and conferences.
  • Provide external communications support to the company\xe2\x80\x99s carbon capture projects, drafting materials and managing events.
  • Provide communications support to business and operational functions and projects.
  • Work closely with the international business units to proactively produce internal and external communications content about their work.
  • Manage the metrics framework for the communications team, producing regular measurement reports.
  • Support the ongoing development of new communications digital channels.
  • Act as brand guardian, ensuring that content complies with company guidelines.
  • Take part in the Corporate Affairs\xe2\x80\x99 emergency response work, including updating procedures, taking part in exercises, and assisting with the response to incidents.
  • Support the company\xe2\x80\x99s corporate philanthropic activities e.g., donations, sponsorship events.
  • Assist with arranging photography and filming requirements for activities/events.
  • Participate in any other activities which the Communications team may reasonably require.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or journalism qualification.
  • Excellent writing experience, drafting news articles, features, press releases and social media posts.
  • Skilled at publishing materials on various platforms.
  • Strong social media skills and experience.
  • Strong digital skills, with experience of developing channels and updating content.
  • Experience and skilled in producing videos and podcasts.
  • Solid experience working with communications and digital agencies.
  • Ability to work confidentially with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to listen and learn, multi-task and use own initiative.
  • Keen eye for accuracy, detail and design \xe2\x80\x93 proof checking, preparation of content.
  • Takes personal accountability for results.
  • Flexibility to adapt to change/projects as required depending on deadlines.
  • Promote an environment that supports effective collaboration and team working.
  • Team player with an energetic can-do attitude.
