We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Group Communications Manager to join our team at Splendid Hospitality Group, one of the UK's fastest-growing and most diverse hospitality businesses.


Reporting to the Group Marketing Director, this role is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and delivery of both internal and external corporate communications.


Your mission? To strengthen awareness of the Splendid brand, enhance our reputation across industries, and drive a meaningful, sustained uplift in employee engagement.


This is a high-impact role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You'll be crafting compelling narratives, managing a range of communication channels, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders--particularly across HR and the leadership team.

Role in our Family




The role:



Strategy Development & Execution:



Create & implement strategic communications plan aligned with divisional and group goals Lead on key reputation PR issues working closely with CEO / Board Help drive awareness, conversion & revenue for new openings / new product / refurbishments

Content Creation:





Produce compelling written, visual, & multimedia content for all platforms (e.g., press releases, blog posts, social media, videos). Media Relations: Manage media relationships, press inquiries, and creation of press kits and materials

Brand Management:

Enhance SHG's brand through development of messaging on EVP, philanthropy & ESG

Internal Communications:



Develop & execute plans to keep group-wide employees informed and engaged

Crisis Communications:



Prepare and execute crisis communications plans to maintain company reputation

Analytics and Reporting:



Monitor & analyse key metrics to assess effectiveness of all communications

Collaboration:



Work with divisions to ensure communications are integrated. Manage Group comms agency

Other:



Manage communications budgets to drive ROI. Stay up to date on industry & communications trends, & best practices

About You:



Essential:





Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, or related field (Master's degree is a plus) Proven experience (5+ years) in B2B & B2C communications, preferably in a managerial capacity Exceptional written & verbal communications skills; great at presenting & stakeholder influencing Strong understanding / mastery of all communications channels and their respective audiences Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, & meet deadlines Leadership skills - strong team player, influencer and collaborator across diverse teams Experience in crisis management and navigating sensitive situations Attention to detail and experience in delivering high quality and professional communications Experience in effective management of agency resources Proficiency in using communications, analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics, & MS programs (ppt, excel, word)

Relevant sector experience; Franchise experience; working in a privately / family-owned business
