Job Description

Dakota Hotels are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven sales professional to lead corporate sales across our expanding portfolio of properties in Scotland and England. This full-time role is based at Dakota Manchester, easily accessible in the heart of the city centre by Piccadilly Train Station.


A newly created role for our Sales team, you will be responsible for driving corporate room revenue by developing relationships with local and national corporate accounts. You will lead strategy, execution, and performance delivery across our six, soon to be seven, properties. You will own the full corporate sales cycle from acquisition to retention, working in close partnership with revenue, marketing, and operational teams to ensure delivery of revenue targets and brand positioning within the corporate travel market.

This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday based at Dakota Manchester.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES



Proactively identify, target, and convert new corporate business opportunities across our hotels. Lead corporate sales strategy for new hotel openings, supporting the full pre-opening and post-launch cycle. Build and manage relationships with high-value local and national corporate clients to drive base business, weekday occupancy, and overall RevPAR. Host tailored FAM trips and networking events to strengthen engagement with corporate buyers and booking agents. Manage the RFP process and corporate account renewals, ensuring rate competitiveness and consistency across all channels. Collaborate closely with revenue and marketing teams to align sales strategies with market demand and brand positioning. Oversee agency and TMC relationships, ensuring strong visibility and placement in corporate booking platforms. Provide coaching and support to hotel-based sales executives, driving consistency and excellence across all locations.

Our location, 29 Ducie St, Manchester M1 2JL, is centrally located in the Piccadilly Basin, close to Piccadilly Station ideally located for public transport users.




We are home to 137 luxury bedrooms, including 27 suites - the most in the city, a destination cocktail bar with champagne room, and a brasserie style grill with private dining rooms as well as a spectacular terrace.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS




We are looking for a motivated and experienced sales professional with a strong background in corporate hotel sales. The ideal candidate will bring a results-focused approach, strong analytical capability, and exceptional relationship management skills.


The successful applicant will have/be:

Minimum two years of proven success in a proactive B2B sales role within the hospitality industry, ideally in hotel corporate sales. Deep understanding of the corporate travel landscape including client segmentation, booking behaviour, and key decision-making drivers. Experience leading and managing RFP processes and contracting with corporate clients and TMCs. Confident in managing a commercial sales pipeline using CRM systems, with the ability to prioritise high-value opportunities. Comfortable using technology to support reporting, presentations, and communication across multiple platforms. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into sales actions. A natural relationship-builder who is confident presenting to stakeholders, negotiating deals, and representing a premium hospitality brand. Positive, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously while aligning with broader team and company goals. Ability to work full-time, working Monday to Friday based onsite, with flexibility to attend client events in the evenings or on weekends when required. Be able to be physically active in your role, standing for much of your shift and working at pace. An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity. Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail. Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
