The DMC Group was formed in 2016 as a platform of complementary, market leading, needlecraft brands. The company owns and operates five iconic needlecrafts brands: DMC (global leader in embroidery threads with a 275-year heritage, the undisputed reference brand); Wool And The Gang (digital-first and contemporary knitting kits); Sirdar (over 125 year British heritage in knitting yarns); Rowan (iconic British premium brand) and Anchor (the most recent acquisition). Products include thread, yarn, kits, patterns, accessories, and publications. The Group also owns Tilsatec, a manufacturer of cut resistant technical yarns and protective gloves/sleeves bringing highly innovative technology to the PPE market.

Based in our Mark Square shared space offices in Shoreditch, this role is the key analytical support to our Group Finance Director and Group Finance Manager. Supporting the team through the provision of exceptional business data you will also dive into a range of topics including reporting, forecasting and cash management. Your work will support decision makers enabling them to drive growth and support delivery of the budget. Together with regular weekly/monthly and annual work cycles, this role does a significant level of ad hoc project work including M&A work as required.

Key responsibilities are:

Responsibility for provision of regular Group management accounts including primary statements for including in Board and Lender reporting. Group cash management from weekly analysis to supporting divisional teams in robust and reliable forecasting. This involves multi-currency accounting Supporting the Group in the annual auditing and budgeting processes or and Board review. Review and analyze results and bridge to strategic plans for the business and its investors Provide specialist advice on technical reporting topics as they arise Build insightful reporting and KPI tools to track business performance Project work; this could include refinancing, system or policy changes, lender requirements, transfer pricing, acquisitions or divestments
Alongside an ACA or ACCA qualification and proven technical excellence this role needs the communication and collaboration skills to work well with multiple stakeholders in a variety of geographies. Your ability to constructively challenge but lean in to support local businesses means brand and market leaders and their finance business partners look on you as a trusted partner. Your French language capabilities mean you are particular valuable to the Finance team based at our key manufacturing site in Mulhouse. Your ability to address any problem in a logical and practical manner backed with detailed data enables you to deal with new scenarios or technical issues for the benefit of the Group. Your detail-orientation and exceptional analytical skills means reporting and stakeholder documents are excellent.
