APC are looking for an experienced Group Financial Accountant to join the Team. The role will be based at Cardinal Square, Derby and reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The role will full-time office based, with core working hours 8am - 5pm (1 hour break) Monday to Friday.

DUTIES




Group reporting

Manage accounting requirements for dormant / low activity subsidiaries Manage calculations and posting of intercompany transactions, including intercompany billing Maintaining FX Register and I/C reconciliations Manage preparation of the monthly consolidated Contribution Report and consolidated Financial Statements Manage the allocation of various charges from US parent company across APC subsidiaries Manage preparation of monthly reporting package for US parent company Manage preparation of various reports, as required by US parent company and US tax consultants Liaising with external auditors Maintaining company compliance across the group Deal with US parent accounting and tax queries relating to APC.

General finance

Preparation and posting of various month end journals Manage accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other elements of month end routine Review of weekly and monthly payroll journals Support base cost review each month Preparation of monthly Management Accounts for all entities withing APC Group Manage allocated Balance Sheet reconciliations Support the internal and external audit process Business analysis / intelligence for operations Other activities as typically required in the finance department.

QUALIFICATIONS




Essential

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) Strong Experience in similar roles

Desirable

5+ years post qualification experience in similar role Experience of Power Generation Industry, Construction & Engineering Working knowledge of SOX


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


Essential

High MS Excel literacy Experience with ERP systems Financially aware with high business partnering acumen. Excellent team working skills. Good communication skills - an ability to make finance important to non-finance people. Solution orientated approach to working. Highly numerate and computer literate.


Desirable

Project Based environment within Energy, Infrastructure, Construction & Engineering Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
