As the Group Financial Accountant, you will oversee the financial accounting and reporting for the Group alongside ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting statutory financial reporting. You will report directly to the Head of Finance and work closely with the Financial Controller and Financial Accountant, shaping the future of one of the most dynamic companies in the digital marketing industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Month end Close and Statutory Reporting



Own the month end close process, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner across the team in line with the timetable Month end journal postings. Liaising with external auditors and managing the audit timetable for the team. Work with the Financial Accountant to ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.

Payroll posting and reconciliation



Posting of payroll reports to Xero on a month basis Updating p&l payroll reconciliation for all entities on a monthly basis (audit requirement) Working closely with the Head of Global Payroll & Benefits to investigate any payroll discrepancies

Treasury & Cashflow management



Admin role on each of the banking platforms alongside the financial controller to ensure all KYC requirements are met and access requirements for team are updated as necessary. Approval of weekly payment runs within the banking platforms alongside the Financial Controller. Assist the Finance controller with updating the 26 week cashflow forecast.

Compliance



Prepare quarterly Group UK VAT return. Assist with Corporation tax returns for the UK & USA. Liaise with outsourced bookkeeper in MENA to assist with statutory filings. Manage the sales and use tax filings for the USA entities. Support the Financial Controller and Head of Finance with other tax and statutory filings across the Group.

Process Improvement and System optimisation



Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function Optimise and maintain the Xero accounting system as the business grows

Other duties



Oversee debtor recoverability Ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by the Head of Finance or Financial Controller. Management of Finance Assistant

PERSON SPECIFICATION



Detail-Oriented

: Meticulous attention to detail with a strong analytical mindset and methodical approach to tasks.

Problem-Solving

: Exceptional problem-solving skills, complemented by the ability to take initiative and drive solutions independently.

Proven Expertise

: Extensive experience in finance, and a background in Audit.

Technical Proficiency

: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with accounting software like Xero or equivalent ERP systems.

Communication

: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

: Chartered Accountant, preferably ACA from a top 20 firm.

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there's flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
