Are you a motivated and ambitious finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, varied role with both operational and strategic focus? We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our growing healthcare company in Manchester.
This is a unique opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW) to take on a broad an evolving role, supporting the day-to-day finance function while contributing to the wider growth and development of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of accruals, monthly financial statements, month-end reporting, statutory reporting forecasting and budgeting - on time and accurately.
Cash flow and liquidity forecasting
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Support the finance team with: bookkeeping, invoicing, payment processing, AR/AP functions
Provide support on ad hoc tasks such as new company set-up, restructuring, funding activities, or process improvements
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Main point of contact for auditors
Review travel expenses and credit card reconciliations
Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the group
What You'll Bring
Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ICAEW)
Experience in a finance role, either in industry or from practice (audit or accounting)
Excellent Excel skills; experience with Business Central
Interest in process improvement and helping develop the finance function in a scaling business
Curious, adaptable and eager to grow with the business
A hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
