The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Group Financial Controller to lead all financial functions across the business. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for financial operations, reporting, controls, and insight.
You will play a key role in safeguarding the financial health of the Group, strengthening internal controls, and providing clear, actionable information to support decision making. The role includes leadership of a small finance team and close collaboration with the wider senior leadership team.
What You'll Do
Lead day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll
Oversee AP and AR processes, ensuring invoices are accurate and processed on time
Manage supplier payments and maintain an effective end-to-end payment cycle
Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls to protect company assets and data integrity
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies
Prepare consolidated financial statements for the business and Group entities
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
Analyse financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and trends
Provide clear financial insight and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership team
Support investment decisions, property acquisitions, and capital projects
Manage, mentor, and develop a small finance team
Work closely with senior leaders and external stakeholders to ensure effective financial operations and reporting
What We're Looking For
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance or controller role
Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing financial statements
Experience overseeing end-to-end finance operations
Advanced Excel skills
Experience using ERP systems, ideally NetSuite or similar
Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
Ideal profile:
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
Experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
Background in a fast-growth or PE-backed environment
Strong technical accounting and control mindset
Comfortable leading a small team and owning processes
Commercial, hands-on, and confident with senior stakeholders
