The Opportunity



We are delighted to offer a pivotal opportunity for a

Group Financial Controller

to join our expanding finance team.

In this key leadership role, you'll be responsible for maintaining financial integrity across the Group, driving improvements in systems and controls, and supporting strategic decision-making. You'll combine hands-on financial management with forward-looking insight, helping to shape the future of a dynamic, fast-evolving healthcare business.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee all aspects of

group financial control

, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity of reporting. Manage

group cash flow

and ensure effective financial governance across all entities. Lead and develop the

Accounts Payable/Receivable teams

(direct management of managers, indirect leadership of 10+). Maintain and enhance

finance systems and processes

, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement. Conduct

monthly balance sheet reviews

and prepare insightful

financial performance reports

. Support

budgeting and forecasting

alongside the Management Accounting function. Lead the

annual audit process

for 20+ companies and manage relationships with auditors and external partners. Oversee

tax compliance

, statutory reporting, and insurance processes (including Group MedMal). Champion

procurement controls

and internal risk management frameworks.

What We're Looking For



You'll bring a strong technical foundation in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-growth, high-change environment.

Essential:



Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience in financial control, audit, or group finance roles. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience leading finance teams and improving financial systems. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:



Experience with

Xero

and

ApprovalMax

systems. Exposure to healthcare or multi-entity environments.
