With continued growth and expansion across our hospitals and clinics, we are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, ensure robust governance, and support strategic decision-making across the Group.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer, the Group Financial Controller will play a key role in managing the Group's financial operations and providing high-quality financial insight to support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day financial operations across multiple business units.
Prepare consolidated management accounts, statutory reports, and financial statements in line with UK GAAP.
Oversee cashflow management, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Implement and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures across the Group.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and reporting processes.
Provide commercial and strategic financial support to senior leadership and the Board.
Support M&A activity, business integration, and financial due diligence.
Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high standards of performance and accuracy.
About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Group Financial Controller, ideally within a multi-site or healthcare environment.
Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Commercially focused with a clear understanding of business drivers and performance metrics.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels.
Experience in system implementation or finance transformation projects would be advantageous.
