About Tremayne Estates Group
The Group currently comprises a mainly let agricultural estate in Cornwall; Pentewan Sands Ltd which is a medium-sized trading company in the Holiday Parks sector; Heligan Development Ltd which is a small estate-linked property investment company and a 50% interest in Estuary Building & Plumbing Ltd which is a small company.
Role
: Reporting to the CEO, you will have full responsibility for reporting accurate financial information on a timely basis, within a system of strong financial control. You will consolidate the financial management of the various entities into an integrated 'single estate' structure of systems and processes. This is a hands-on, varied and challenging role for an experienced accountant with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities:
Produce quarterly Trust accounts for the estate
Oversee production of the monthly management accounts for Pentewan Sands Ltd
Produce quarterly management accounts for Heligan Development Ltd
Prepare VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations
Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments & accounting entries
Raise sales invoices, process supplier invoices & maintain accounting records
Make improvements by automating and streamlining existing processes
Develop the finance team of two
Experience Required:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Extensive knowledge of financial reporting and accounting best practices under UK GAAP
Preparation of year end accounts and liaison with external auditors
Practical experience of VAT and Payroll
Systems experience: Excel (advanced), Sage 50 Accounts and Xero (desirable)
