We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Financial Controller to oversee our company's financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

The role includes supervising day-to-day finance activities, supporting audits, improving financial processes, and providing strategic insight to support business decisions. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and experience with UK financial regulations are essential.

Working closely with the senior team and accounts department, this will be a pivotal role that would be well suited to a highly driven accountant that will contribute to the continued growth of the companies that sit within a retail group.

Core focus of the role to include:

Day-to-day management of the finance function using Xero Assume responsibility for the production of high quality management accounts with accompanying commentary Work closely with the external accountants in the preparation of year end statutory accounts, financial statements and annual audit VAT reporting Financial analysis Have a strong say in the control of prepayments, accruals and recharges Support quarterly reviews and annual budgets with senior leadership Identify areas for improving financial performance of specific divisions of the business
For this role we're searching for an experienced Financial Controller or Management Accountant, with solid end-to-end accounting experience, ideally (though not essentially), gained within a fast-paced manufacturing/retail environment.

The business promotes a modern working environment; this role would suit a candidate with strong IT aptitude and excellent skills in the use of xero, MS Excel and bespoke digital accounting tools.
