Tritech Group are manufacturing experts and suppliers of precision products to global Aerospace & Defence industry giants and to support our rapid growth we are recruiting for a range of positions across our UK facilities.
The Group EHS Manager will be responsible for providing pragmatic compliance advice and support to the Operational teams and other EHS Advisors at the company's UK Sites. The role is site-based and so the ability to positively represent and communicate the EHS ethos of the business is paramount. The role encompasses a wide range of EHS sectors and is an excellent opportunity to develop skills and experience.
This role will involve UK travel to all sites across Wrexham and Devon when required
The employee will willingly undertake, upon request, any other task they are able to perform. Elements of the role may vary as new technology, procedures and equipment are introduced.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive coordination and standardisation across a physically dispersed, multi-site group
Working within tight restrictions drive forward to achieve outcomes
Identify, establish and monitor leading Indicators and supporting KPIs
Provide legally compliant advice to the SMT
Provide advice and support to Maintenance Coordinators
Liaise with Insurers, Enforcement Authorities and Suppliers
Provide support to Operations Managers and locally deployed EHS Coordinators
Devise and maintain training, audit and inspection plans for all sites across the Group
Carry out practical work in risk assessment, training and inspection as required
Complete monthly site visits across the Group
Person Specification:
Self-motivated, reliable, Tenacious and adaptable
Ability to positively engage with people at all levels
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Confident and enthusiastic with a positive, can-do attitude
Ability to identify, interpret and apply statutory guidance, legislation and case law to an operational environment
Adept in the use of MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Essential and Desired Qualifications:
Level 6 H&S Qualification
NEBOSH Certified
Level 6 Environmental Management Qualification
Level 3 Fire Safety Management Qualification
Level 3 Training Qualification
Level 3 ISO 14001/45001 Auditing Qualification
10 years relevant experience in an Operational Role
3 years Line Management experience
Ability to drive change
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working within a Similar Manufacturing and Engineering environment
Direct experience in Foundry Industry (Desired) or Experience working with High temperature melting - Alloys, Ceramics, Glass etc
Practical experience in Energy Management and Carbon Accounting (Desired)
Package on offer:
Salary: Range 50,000-60,000
Pension: 5% min personal contribution, Company contribution of 3%
Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 BH
Life Insurance: 2 x annual salary Death in Service
