Meet the Team - Group Internal Audit (GIA)
Our vision is clear: to deliver data-driven assurance and insights that help the Skipton Group to achieve its purpose.
As a team of over 35 colleagues, we work closely with First- and Second-Line teams to provide timely, valuable assurance and advice. A core part of our role is to provide independent assurance to the Board Audit Committee - ensuring that key risks are effectively managed, and our stakeholders and customers are protected.
We're embracing innovation - leveraging data analytics, visual storytelling and even exploring AI to transform how we audit.
Our Current Vacancies
We're looking for exceptional talent across the following roles:
Operational and Conduct Risk Audit Roles Audit Lead*
Senior Specialist Auditor (12-month FTC)*
You'll lead or support on a wide range of audits covering all aspects of operational and conduct risk across the Home Financing and Money Businesses.

IT Audit Roles IT Audit Lead*
Senior Specialist IT Auditor*
You'll lead and deliver impactful IT and Information Security audits across the Skipton Group.
The above roles provide a great opportunity to further develop your leadership and technical skills, as you'll be leading small multi-disciplinary teams and helping to coach and develop others in the team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering the audit fieldwork and providing feedback on audit outcomes. You'll work with stakeholders to shape the audit plan and produce high-quality reports that drive meaningful action.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking professionals with:Strong audit experience within a regulated environment (financial services preferred) Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong stakeholder management at all levels. To be able to lead and motivate small teams. A hands-on, delivery focused mindset (from planning through to fieldwork and reporting) all within tight deadlines. Comfort with using data analytics and curious about visualisation to support audit testing, outcomes, and reporting. An ability to understand new and changing regulations across a variety of areas. A willingness and ability to juggle multiple priorities and still deliver great outcomes.
For the IT Audit roles, you'll also need:Proven experience in IT and Information Security Auditing. Strong understanding of IT and information security risk, controls, and governance frameworks.
