About the Opportunity
Within our Finance team, the position of Group Management Accountant works to provide high quality finance support to a number of key stakeholders including the CFO and Group Financial Controller.
The role holder will be a key member of the Finance team and will work alongside the Group Reporting Manager to provide financial input to the consolidated Group results on a monthly basis. This role will also play a key role in ensuring consistent accounting processes are followed across the Group, producing timely and accurate information and proactively supporting the business.
This is a wide-ranging role and offers a significant number of opportunities to get involved with different types of work outside the core role, which will provide professional growth and variety to the role.
Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management reports that provide insight into financial performance;
  • Analyse, investigate and explain variances against budget, forecast and prior periods, highlighting key trends;
  • Analyse and manage costs associated with both CSU operations and client projects, performing cost analysis and variance review;
  • Ensure accurate reporting of project revenues, costs and accruals incorporating a monthly review of WIP and deferred revenue for projects;
  • Ownership of the country ledgers including responsibility for all journal entries including accruals, prepayments, depreciation;
  • Raising intercompany billings in line with the Group's transfer pricing policy;
  • Responsibility for reconciling balance sheet accounts for ledgers within area of responsibility;
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and procedures;
  • Support audits through provision of necessary documentation and explanations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls;
  • Collaborate with practice Finance Business Partners to support their needs and ensure alignment of financial goals with business objectives;
  • Oversee the maintenance of accounting systems;
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy;
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure that deliverables are provided in line with deadlines.

Required Experience and Skills
  • Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA);
  • Experience in management accounting and financial analysis roles;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • IT literate including the use and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel) with proficient Microsoft Excel skills
