WHAT TO EXPECT

This role will be based within the Engineering Delivery Platform (EDP) and dedicated to the creation and delivery of the product roadmap for System Engineering processes, methods and tools. Being part of the Engineering Delivery Platform, you will have a key responsibility in enabling the creation of modern luxury products by creating state of the art solutions for digital automated engineering that will be used by all engineering product domains.

This Group Product Owner role will lead a group of Product Owners in consistently managing a common roadmap and backlog, leading the interaction with key enterprise executive stakeholders and business partners. This is a dynamic role that navigates from strategy and stakeholders\' management to delivery of business value to problem solving.

THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining and communicating the System Engineering process methods tools (PMTs) products roadmap in alignment to the System Engineering chapter strategy.
  • Responsible to lead the Annual Business Review (ABR) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) for the Group.
  • Responsible to manage all relevant enterprise stakeholders: work collaboratively across relevant areas of the Product Engineering Technical centres, building strong relationships with other domains / functions and reflect their needs into product backlogs aligned with the System Engineering strategy.
  • Be accountable for effective product backlog management & definition of Customer value.
  • Be accountable for maximizing the value of the products resulting from the work of the squads in the Group.
  • Responsible for working closely with the (group) Scrum Master and to apply Agile best practices within the Group.
  • Responsible for the performance management, personal development and feedback for Product Owners in the Group.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Capability and technology roadmap approved via Annual Business Review (ABR)
  • Proper control of the PI planning process by providing prioritisation and guidance to multiple squads via Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Effective backlog management
  • Effective issues and impediments management
  • Compliance with internal and external audits
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential
  • Significant knowledge and leadership in System Engineering Process Methods and Tools and their use in the design and delivery of complex Products
  • Extensive knowledge and practice of operating in an agile framework.
  • Significant understanding of the application of Model Based System Engineering.
  • Confident communicator, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners at all levels of an internal and external organisation
  • Demonstrable evidence of successful large-scale product or programme delivery
  • Ability to grow, lead and motivate a high performing team through business transformation
  • Strong focus on value, financial control and management of budgets for resource and investment
  • Strategic thinking with regards to business partners management
  • Bachelor level degree in Engineering and/or relevant experience in the automotive domain
Desirable
  • Formal qualification in product management (e.g. SCRUM, SAFe, LeSS)
  • Formal qualification in project management
  • Experience in engineering and delivering automotive systems
  • Experience with the Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
