Job Description


:

For this Group Reporting Accountant position, you will primarily you will be responsible for the consolidation and presentation of Group Limited\xe2\x80\x99s financial results.

You will work with the Group Finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and help drive financial reporting and control throughout the Group.

Some of the key responsibilities for this successful person would be but no limited to:

  • Reporting into the Head of Group Accounting and Reporting;
  • Own Consolidation of the monthly management accounts and preparation of the various Board reports and management account packs, ensuring
compliance with IFRS, including in complex areas such as pension and hedge accounting. Full responsibility for posting consolidation journals and

preparation of the Group Board Reports;
  • Consolidation of the annual Corporate Plan and the quarterly forecasts; including the preparation of senior management reports;
  • Provision of support to the operating companies finance teams;
  • Assisting in the preparation, review and audit process of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s annual pension accounts;
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects throughout the year, such as the implementation of an updated chart of accounts across the Group, integration of
acquisitions, integration of new entities and acquisition accounting resulting from the recent acquisition of the Group, set up of new operating

companies, adoption of new accounting standards;
  • Key involvement in the production of the full year Group Annual Report and Accounts; including consolidation of key financial statements and all
related notes. This will also involve liaison with external auditors, professional advisors and internal departments (Investor Relations and Company

Secretarial);
  • Preparation and/or review of statutory financial statements for all trading subsidiaries and dormant companies within the Group.
  • The role involves a close working relationship with the Group finance team and links into the finance teams at an operating company level;
  • Liaison with internal and external auditors, other professional advisors and internal departments;
  • Complexity of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s systems and processes, the decentralised nature of the Group and the variety of stakeholders results in the requirement
for the successful candidate to manage different priorities successfully.

Requirements

The successful Group Reporting Accountant will be/have:

You will be a curious and ambitious person, with the drive and passion to forge a successful career both as part of the finance team and within the wider business.
  • University graduate would be nice, but not essential
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
  • Ideally experienced working in Commerce & Industry
  • Great if you have knowledge of Finance/ERP systems such as Oracle, Oracle Fusion or Cognos TM1, but definitely not essential
  • Financial and management accounting experience, including Group corporate reporting is important
  • Experience in planning and managing projects, business partnering and financial analysis
  • You will be strategic, analytical mind with a record of and problem solving in a business environment
  • Exceptional communication and team skills are vital
  • You will be down-to-earth, a hands-on and non-ostentatious in approach
  • Be a positive, self-motivated and driven character with a clear desire to succeed
  • The highest levels of honesty and integrity is a pre-requisite
