GROUP REPORTING MANAGER
Location: London Victoria (hybrid model, minimum 3 days in office).

In the role of Group Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Group's financial and statutory reporting requirements, leading process and systems improvement for the accounting function, review of central subsidiary accounts and reporting packs under IFRS and other applicable GAAPs, and the co-ordination of year end and ad-hoc audits.
The role:
As Group Reporting Manager your focus will be:

  • Knowledgeable and responsive to the business needs and wants, with the ability to adapt accounting policies, procedures and financial reporting systems as required.
  • Support the business with the acquisition and integration of new schools.
  • Work with the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager and Group Financial Controller to refine the consolidation process, reduce reliance on manual and inefficient processes and comply with the agreed internal key controls necessary to move to a controls-based audit.
  • Lead automation and enhancement of accounting procedures across the Group (e.g. related parties, intercompany invoicing, acquisitions, revaluations).
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager in ensuring compliance with the Group's Significant Contract policy.
  • Document the accounting treatment of significant contracts or transactions, particularly for those involving material management estimates and judgements in a professional format
  • Obtain timely sign-off from the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager and where appropriate, other department heads and external auditors.
  • Support the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager in delivering timely external audits.
  • Provide critical input into monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly group account consolidation, including intercompany and investment eliminations, non-controlling interest (NCI) calculations and Group-level adjustments
  • Perform analytical reviews of consolidated P&L and balance sheet reports.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
  • Degree in finance/accounting or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Professional accounting qualifications (ACA, or equivalent)
  • Practice background
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar group finance role within a complex, multi-entity and multi-currency environment
  • Experience in risk identification, process improvement and internal controls development
  • Proven experience in group financial reporting and consolidation under IFRS
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to challenge and influence management
  • Knowledge of financial systems, including Navision and hands on experience with consolidation tools such as OneStream (or similar platforms)
  • Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth environment, ideally within education or services
  • Awareness of tax and treasury considerations
  • Knowledge of acquisition accounting/ purchase price allocation
  • Experience managing and developing team members
