Senior Finance Assistant

Background:



The Finance team is an integral part to the future of the business, contributing to the company's business objectives be ensuring there is a strong system of financial and internal controls in place, critical to the business needs. The finance team is primarily responsible for providing timely, consistent and accurate information.

Main Duties/Responsibilities



As a key member of the team, you'll dive into the heart of financial operations, with responsibilities across multiple businesses including:

Accounts Payable reconciliations to ensure that all supplier invoices are processed accurately and on a timely basis, whether generated through PO process or as standalone invoices. Account receivable reconciliations, and credit control activities to ensure timely receipt of all outstanding balances. Preparation of company VAT returns for the CFO to review. Undertaking multi-currency transactions and providing sound advice on cost saving initiatives around FX. Conducting financial analysis to suggest improvements to the company processes. Reconciling balance sheet accounts, control accounts, and inter-companies. Preparing monthly management accounts for the CFO to review. Maintain cashflow forecasting for the CFO to review. Assistance with the year-end accounts and audit processes. Assist the CFO in developing reports. Reconciling bank and card payments daily. Ensuring queries are dealt with in an effective and timely manner. Filing invoices and receipts. Monitoring various accounts inboxes. Carry out any other ad hoc finance projects required within the various companies.

Requirements



Experience:



Worked in a similar role with responsibilities, proven success. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrable ability for working with technical and numerical data. Experience of Microsoft Excel. Strong time management skills, accurate and well organised, with an attention to detail.

Skills:



Accounting Qualification achieved or working towards (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) Intelligent, quick-thinking and highly numerate. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Excellent personal and business presentation skills. Creative, but must be operational as well. Strong team player. Strong on prioritisation for the business benefit. Xero software experience.

Working Hours



Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 30,000.00 per year
