We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing diverse menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of dishes while maintaining high standards of presentation and taste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Assist in developing new recipes and menu items to keep offerings innovative and appealing.
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
Strong understanding of food production processes within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours.
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house personnel.
