Why this role is important to us

Experian Group Strategy is a relatively small but high-impact team, working closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to drive our strategy forwards. We work on global strategic projects that have the potential to reshape our business, partner with our Corporate Development and Venture teams to drive inorganic growth, as well as conduct market and competitor research to share across the business.

Experian Group Strategy is looking for a Group Strategic Planning Manager to play a critical role in shaping and managing our strategic planning process. They will work with senior level leaders to define strategic priorities, help our businesses develop robust plans and communicate the strategies to key stakeholders. They will also participate in a range of projects that have meaningful impact on Experian\'s growth agenda and strategic direction.

  • We are looking for someone with the skill to influence without authority through a partnering approach
  • The confidence to interact effectively with colleagues from across the business at all levels of seniority
  • The agility to get immersed in a wide range of strategic topics, from market opportunity assessments and innovation to operational excellence and technology platforms
  • Ability to build strong network with colleagues across the business to communicate requirements, help shape deliverables, and manage timelines and outputs
Work that matters - What you\'ll be doing
  • Consolidate and refine plans for review and approval by the Board of Directors
  • Maintain significant visibility with CEO, COO, CFO, region MDs and other senior leaders actively representing the Corporate Strategy function to the wider Experian business and support leaders in key strategic decisions
  • Organise reviews for Experian\'s Operating Committee to align on key strategic priorities and agree preliminary funding decisions
  • Play a key role in planning and delivering annual strategy events, including a Strategy Summit for c.100 business leaders and an \xe2\x80\x9cOffsite\xe2\x80\x9d for the Operating Committee
  • Drive proactive communication of the strategy across the Group, collaborating with Investor Relations and Internal Communications
  • Lead evolution of the Strategic Focus Area (SFA) framework across the Group as a means of strategy development and communication; Work with global, region, business stakeholders to further the development of SFAs and improve innovation practices
More about you
  • Educated to degree-level or equivalent, with post-graduate business-related qualification preferable, e.g., ACA, ACCA, ACMA, MBA
  • Strong commercial experience post-graduation, preferably in a corporate strategy, FP&A group, or in strategy consulting
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and competency in creating high impact presentations
  • Ability to run processes at pace across complex organisations to develop an executable strategy
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects with efficiency and focus to deliver positive outcomes
