Group Tax Accountant

to join our

Gloucester

office.

As

Group Tax Accountant

you'll ideally be a recently qualified accountant (preferably ACA or ACCA, although other qualifications considered) with an interest in developing a career in Tax. Some previous tax experience is beneficial, but not essential.

What you'll be doingPrepare the monthly and quarterly tax compliance returns (VAT, Insurance Premium Tax, Construction Industry Scheme)
Prepare the annual Corporation Tax Returns
Assist the Head of Tax with preparation of Statutory Accounts tax provisions
Act as lead Tax Business Partner for defined areas of the overall Benefact Group
Preparation of Total Tax Contribution data
Overseas withholding tax optimisation
VAT partial exemption methodology
Transfer Pricing and tax aspects of expense allocations
Liaison with external advisors on Research & Development Tax Credit claims
Pillar 2 tax obligations
What you'll need to haveAccountancy or tax qualification
A commitment to continuing professional technical development
Ability to operate on wide variety of fronts e.g. monthly reporting to longer term projects
Proven ability to organise and manage data in a structured and accessible way
Proactive with ability to drive process improvements
What makes you stand outPrevious tax experience
Ability to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines
Excellent communicator with ability to converse and build strong relationships across a variety of teams
