Role overview

As a Service Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping our fleet customers' Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles performing at their best. This position is based on-site at one of our fleet partners, where you'll carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs exclusively on Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Working independently on the customer's premises, you'll represent Citygate and the Volkswagen brand with professionalism and pride -- delivering the same exceptional service quality we offer in our own workshops. You'll build strong working relationships with the fleet team, provide expert advice, and ensure every vehicle leaves your care meeting Volkswagen's exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Service Technician will be:

To receive work from the workshop controller and carry out related checks, administration and protection routines To assess tool and equipment requirements and communicate any related issues To service and repair all vehicles To report on all additional repair requirements as they are identified To make written and verbal reports on service and repair in the workshop the workshop controller in order to obtain authorisation To complete all administrative procedures (including warranty) relating to service and repair work To maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment To undertake vehicle road tests when necessary To assist with development and training of other technicians To attend meetings and training programmes as required To perform other duties in support of other team members as required

About You

As a Service Technician, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

You will be a Level 3 qualified vehicle technician ideally with VAG group background Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail A strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
