We have a fantastic vacancy for Group Reservations Manager in the excellent Maldron Hotel, Glasgow City

The Maldron Hotel Glasgow City is perfectly situated in the heart of the city just minutes from the \xe2\x80\x98Glasgow Style Mile\xe2\x80\x99 which offers the 2nd largest retail centre in the UK and home to the best shopping experience outside London\xe2\x80\x99s West End. The Hotel opened in August 2021, with 300 bedrooms, a Grain & Grill Restaurant, Hotel Bar, The Red Bean Roastery coffee shop and 5 meeting rooms.

Objective of the Role

Reporting directly to the Revenue Manager and working closely with the Sales, Meetings & Events and Front Desk teams at the hotel to ensure the maximization of all bedrooms and hotel sales opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day to day operations in the reservation\xe2\x80\x99s office.
  • To constantly update the hotels revenue system.
  • To assist in the maximisation of room revenue, occupancy percentage and yield management.
  • Working closely with the revenue manager and DOS to ensure the efficient running of the department.
  • To ensure our guests requests are honoured.
Manages all room aspects of groups and reservation enquiries, using discretion and judgement in dealing with group contacts, including any contractual obligations.

Manages the operational preparation for all group bookings, including guest deposits, Invoicing, room blocks, rooming list, cut-off dates, waitlist, overflow accommodations, rooming requests contact relationships and ticketing needs

Provides & manages allocation provisions to future group enquires

Manages the receipt and entry of each group rooming list prior to or by the proposed deadline outlined in the contract, verifying, documenting, and releasing any unused room or attraction inventory back for general sale Checks any increases in inventory for availability and any discrepancies will be communicated to the client at the time of rooming list entry
  • The ideal candidate:
  • Previous experience as a Groups Reservation Manger or Supervisor in a busy hotel.
  • Excellent communication and customer skills.
  • Great team leader and can lead and motivate the reservations staff.
  • Can prioritise and delegate what needs to be done.
  • Excellent presentations skills.
  • You will be a real hospitality professional who wants to work their way up.
