Overview

We are seeking a skilled GRP Laminator to join our team, capable of hand lay laminating small components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fabrication processes. This role involves working with glass reinforced plastic (GRP) materials, ensuring high-quality production standards while adhering to safety protocols. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for laminating GRP materials Assemble components according to specifications and quality standards Perform basic welding tasks as required during the fabrication process Conduct construction painting to finish products as needed Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality Carry out basic mathematical calculations for measuring and cutting materials accurately Assist in warehouse duties, including the movement of materials and finished products

Experience

Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a similar role Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques is essential Previous experience in fabrication or assembly work is highly desirable A background in construction painting will be advantageous Warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in a manufacturing environment Basic mathematical skills are necessary for accurate measurements and calculations
