We are seeking a skilled GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) Laminator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in fabrication processes. This role involves working with various materials and tools to create high-quality laminated products. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, capable of following precise specifications, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

Operate hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble GRP components. Apply laminating techniques to produce high-quality finished products. Conduct thorough inspections of materials and finished items to ensure adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly after use. Assist in the training of new staff on laminating processes and safety procedures.

Experience

Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a similar role is essential. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques is highly desirable. Previous experience in fabrication or assembly within a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Experience in construction painting may be beneficial for certain aspects of the role.
