About the Role

We're looking for a reliable and organised individual to help manage day-to-day operations at a new guest house located on the Isle of Skye, around 20 minutes from Portree. This is a

full-time, year-round position

that would suit someone with experience in hospitality or housekeeping who takes pride in maintaining high standards.

You'll be responsible for preparing the property for arriving guests (including cleaning and changeovers), responding to guest enquiries, and ensuring visitors enjoy a warm Highland welcome throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out full

changeovers and cleaning

between guest stays to a high standard Ensure rooms and common areas are spotless, well-presented, and fully stocked Welcome guests on arrival (only required within working hours) and provide a friendly, professional experience

Respond to guest messages and enquiries

via email, text, or booking platforms Carry out basic maintenance checks and report any issues promptly Coordinate with owners, tradespeople, and suppliers as needed Keep track of cleaning supplies and linen stock

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has

previous experience

in housekeeping, property management, or hospitality Is friendly, professional, and takes pride in their work Has a

keen eye for detail

and can work independently Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle (required due to rural location) Lives locally on Skye or would be willing to relocate
