This is an exciting opportunity to join Fat Bottom Guitars as a Sales Assistant in our fast-paced, forward-thinking guitar store. We're looking for an experienced, reliable, and adaptable individual to support the launch of our brand-new retail premises in Pershore, Worcestershire.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of guitars and prior experience in guitar retail. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

This role may also require some flexibility, with occasional tasks supporting our sister business, The Guitar Marketplace.

We kindly request that applicants have at least one year of retail experience, along with knowledge of guitars and the wider music industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day running of the retail space alongside colleagues Deliver a first-class experience and service to customers Maintain high standards of store presentation Carry out guitar setups and adjustments Open and close the store on designated days Handle phone and email enquiries Assist with verification and provenance of incoming stock Process and dispatch customer orders Collaborate with the Marketing Assistant on campaigns Support ad-hoc tasks for our sister companies Fulfil store opening and closing procedures

Requirements:

1+ years of retail experience Strong knowledge of guitars and related brands Genuine passion for the guitar industry Proficiency with social media platforms and awareness of current market trends Comfortable in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment Ability to commute to our Pershore premises Capable of working independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide feedback to senior management Competent in guitar maintenance and setups

Salary & Hours:

Part-time role 20 hours per week (12pm-6pm Friday, 10am-5pm Saturday & Sunday) 12.50-14.00 per hour, depending on experience All necessary computer, audio, and visual equipment provided
